墨尔本自2008年被联合国教科文组织指定为继爱丁堡之后，世界的第二大文学之城。该城自2005年以来，设立了一年一度的墨尔本文学大奖（Melbourne Prize for Literature）。今年的短单（shortlisted）消息（即入围消息）刚于今天上午10.30分发布，见图如下：
